SAN MARCOS, Texas-- McNeese State's catcher/designated player Jenny Clay was named to the Southland Conference softball all-tournament team announced following the tournament championship game in San Marcos, Texas Saturday afternoon.

The senior from Arnaudville, help the Cowgirls defeat Southeastern La. 5-4 in the opening round of the tournament before the Cowgirls were eliminated by 8-0 by Stephen F. Austin, the tournament champions and the league's NCAA representative. Stephen F. Austin defeated Nicholls State 2-1.

Clay was the only other player named to the team besides players from Nicholls State and Stephen F. Austin, the teams playing for the tournament championship. In the tournament, Clay was 3 for 6 with two RBI's, a walk and a stolen base.
