The McNeese athletic roundup tour made a stop in Lake Charles on Wednesday night at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

Fans turned out to hear coaches in all sports talk about their upcoming seasons.

The 2008 tour will conclude on Thursday in Houston at Minute Maid Park. The function will be held in a second floor board room at Union Station inside the ball park. All fans are invited to attend. It is free of charge but admission to the baseball game involving the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers will be $10.

There will be freshments and door prizes at Thursday's function.

Cowboy and Cowgirl coaches speaking at Wednesday's gathering were Mike Collins (football), Dave Simmons (men's basketball), Brooks Donald Williams (women's basketball), Dale Starr (volleyball), Natalie Poole (softball), Scooter Savoie (soccer) and Brendon Gilroy (track and field). Athletic director Tommy McClelland also talked.
