Cowboy/Cowgirl roundup tour will be at Lake Charles Civic Center on Wednesday

The McNeese State summer Cowboy/Cowgirl athletic roundup tour stops in Lake Charles at the Civic Center on Wednesday.

The event will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is free for all. Door prizes, refreshments, posters and schedule cards will be available for all fans.

A meet and greet function will run from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and then all head coaches in all of the McNeese sports will speak from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

There will also be areas set up for fans to learn about season tickets for athletic events as well as get information on the booster organizations at the university.

Head coaches scheduled to speak at the event which is now in its second and final week are: Matt Viator (football), Dave Simmons (men's basketball), Brooks Donald Williams (women's basketball), Scooter Savoie (soccer), Natalie Poole (softball), Terry Burrows (baseball), Mike Fluty (women's golf), Neel DeRouen (men's golf), Brendon Gilroy (track and field), Magali Risoleo (tennis) and Dale Starr (volleyball).

Athletic director Tommy McClelland will also update fans about current construction of athletic facilities as well as inform them on other happenings within the athletic department.

The tour will conclude on Thursday in Houston at a function at Minute Maid Park.
